What You Get From Every Photo

More than a name: the context you need to be sure.

Why Use Our Free Plant Identifier

Built around what you actually want to do with a plant photo.

Several Photos, One Answer

Add a leaf, the flower or fruit and the whole plant together, up to 3 photos, so the identification has more to go on.

Share Your Result

Send a result to friends or family on WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, X, Reddit or email, or copy the link. Only the plant name is shared, never your photos.

Aware of Your Season

Advice reflects the time of year and your hemisphere, so you know what to do right now.

Recent Scans Stay With You

Your latest identifications are kept in your own browser, not on our servers. Clear them any time.

Photos Are Not Stored

Photos are processed in memory to produce your result and are never saved to a database or disk.

Free, No Sign-Up

No account, no card, no trial. Every visitor gets 10 identifications a day.

Honest Results and Safety

We tell you how sure we are, and what we can't know.

Honest Confidence

Every result says how sure it is and never claims certainty from a photo. When it isn't sure, it says so and suggests a better photo.

Names Checked Against GBIF

The scientific name is checked against the GBIF botanical database, and look-alike labels are cross-checked against it. Names that don't match a known species are marked as not confirmed.

Safety Comes First

Toxicity information is general reference for the species, shown with a reminder to call your vet or poison control. Mushrooms are not supported.
